Blog Name

I am sure that some of you are wondering why the name of our blog is Phenomenally Fresh. So I will enlighten you. When Corbin and I first met, well soon after we first met it was my 20th birthday. We went out to eat at Bucca Di Beppos with a bunch of people and he gave me a box of macadamia nut chocolates with a note that said..."I hope you have a phenomenal birthday! The big 2-0 is no joke" I really liked this note because he had used the word phenomenal instead of some other boring word. So that is wherer phenomenal comes from. Then later when Corbin and I were dating I went and visited his family in California over New Year's. We all went down to Monterey for first night. There was a white "laptop rapper" by the name of MC Lars who had a little show going on. One of our favorite songs of his was Hurricane Fresh and the lyrics to the chorus go as follows:
"Now that's fresh. Now that's fresh, that's fresh (get fresh).
Now that's fresh, that's fresh (I get fresh).
Now that's fresh, that's fresh (get fresh). Now that's fresh.,"
We got the CD and played it the whole drive home from Moterey and especially enjoyed singing along to this particular song. And that is where Fresh comes from. I later made Corbin a book of our dating life and titled it Phenomenally Fresh, and now that is the name of our blog. Here is a picture of MC Lars.

"We got EAP in the house tonight, Edgar Allan Poe.
America's favorite anti-transcendentalist.
We're taking this back, way back, nineteenth century style...

Who's that (who's that) rapping?
Who's that rapping at my chamber door?
Mr. (mister) Raven!
All up in my grill like, "Nevermore."

Thanks for shedding some light on the blog name. I'll never forget being introduced to post-punk laptop rap that night. Jaimi probably won't forget that night either, but b/c it was the worst night of sleep she ever got due to Corbin's snoring.
